Built around a simple idea

We started in 2001 with a clear premise: there was a real gap between buying enterprise IT outright and waiting for a bank to approve a capex loan. Indian businesses needed a faster, more flexible finance route — one that handed them the equipment, kept the balance sheet clean, and refreshed when the technology did. So we built one.

Two and a half decades later, that premise still holds. Every quarter, more enterprises decide that owning a depreciating asset isn't a strategic advantage — and that working with a partner who handles the lifecycle is.

How we got here

The leasing business was set up under Prime AssetSource Pvt Ltd to focus exclusively on equipment rentals. The team grew. The fleet grew. The geography grew. Today we serve clients across PAN India from a head office in Bangalore with branches in Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Vashi, and a delivery network that reaches major metros and tier-2 cities alike.

Along the way we've worked with global IT services majors, Indian banks and insurers, manufacturers, hospitals, fast-growing startups, training providers, and event organisers. Every one of those engagements taught us something about what enterprises actually need from a rental partner — and shaped the programmes we offer today.

What we've learnt

A few things have stayed true across 25+ years and many client engagements:

• Speed beats theory. A perfect spec that takes 12 weeks to procure loses to a good-enough spec on the ground in 5 days.
• Fleet quality is the long-term differentiator. Anyone can quote cheap; the partners that last are the ones whose kit shows up working, every time.
• Compliance and chain-of-custody matter. Especially in BFSI, healthcare, and government — and increasingly everywhere.
• People want options at end-of-term. Refresh, extend, return, buy out — flexibility at the end is as important as flexibility at the start.

What's next

We're building the next chapter on three pillars: a deeper rental fleet across 11 product categories, a full lifecycle services layer (asset buyback, e-waste, audit support), and the digital tooling — including this site — that makes working with us easier than working with traditional procurement.
